Galway Race Festival 2024 - Monday July 29th to Sunday August 4th
There are many times throughout the year when the city of Galway comes alive with art, music, comedy and so much more. But, when the sound of powerful hooves traversing sod with speed and singular purpose, this is when Galway really comes into itself. If you have never experienced the races and the city in full festival mode - you're missing out. So, don't add it to a list of things you must do some day - instead - get in touch, book a room and come and experience for yourself, all that brings people in their thousands to the city of the tribes for the first week in August.

*Music will be available in our bar for the Wednesday, Thursday & Staurday nights of Raceweek 2024 (Typical start time 10pm). Our bar will also have many food specials and cocktail specials available all through the week.
Join us for 'The Opening Day’ on Monday 29th July as we have a special treat for our racegoers in front of the Grandstand with a lively colourful musical performance! First race of seven races is off at 4.10pm.
Country Music Day with Mike Denver. Tune in for one of the big races of the week, the historic Tote Galway Plate, worth €270,000. This race is awash with quality, with experienced chasers taking on emerging youngsters and has produced some high-class recent winners including, Balko Des Flos and Road To Riches.
